    How to enable the touchpad?

Personally, I don’t really like the touchpad or touchpad. Not very comfortable with this alternative mouse in laptops. It is much more convenient to use an ordinary mouse, I think many users will agree with that. But the touch panel is still needed - you cannot do without it when traveling, when you have to work on your knees, then the external mouse, most likely, will only disturb you. But what to do if you unsuccessfully move your fingers across the panel, but there is no reaction to this? How to enable the touchpad? There are several ways to solve your problem.

    First way

Turn off or turn on the touch panel just simple. As a rule, for this, manufacturers have provided special buttons or shortcut keys. If you find the instructions from the laptop, then surely you can find it there. If the documents are lost, try using the following combinations: hold down the “Fn” key and at the same time try pressing F5-12. By the way, in this way, you can find out any other combinations, because each of them allows you to adjust the screen brightness or sound volume, as well as change other computer settings.Suppose if you have an Acer laptop, then in this case you can turn on the touchpad with the Fn + F7 key combination.

    Second way

It is even simpler than the first. The thing is that for some laptops and netbooks, the button that turns the touchpad on and off is located next to the sensor panel itself.

    Third way

How to turn on the touchpad on a laptop? Sometimes an alternative mouse is turned off programmatically. To check this, you need to go to the "Control Panel", then select "mouse", "device settings", and then disable or disable the touchpad. You can configure the panel to turn off when you plug in an external mouse and vice versa.

    Fourth way

To enable the touchpad, you may have to dig into the BIOS settings. How to get there? Hold the “F2” or “Del” key while loading. After that you will need to find the item Internal Pointing Device. Now change its value from “Desabled” to “Enabled” to enable the touchpad, and in the reverse order to disable.

The touchpad does not work - what to do

If all of the above is not suitable, and you still do not know how to enable the touchpad, in this case there is a high probability that the reason is most likely hardware. To eliminate it, you need to disassemble the laptop yourself or consult a specialist.

If, in addition to the touch panel, the keyboard and USB ports do not work, then the problem is in the defective motherboard. To confirm this or disprove, you must give the laptop for examination to a service center.

As you can see, the reasons why the touchpad does not work can be very different.
